On the road again.

My four month holiday is almost over and once again time just flys. I'm starting to pack slowly as I will be heading back to Orange this wednesday to help out with O-week next week. Woot! Moving has just become a norm in my life. Moving back and forth between New South Wales and Queensland is something I actually enjoy because I like change. I like going to new places, catching up with friends and meeting new people. I do have the travel bug and I have been going overseas here and there in mid and end of year holidays. I guess the travel bug is just in my blood.
I'm starting second year and I'm excited but sh*ting my pants at the same time. Every course has its challenges and from what I have heard from other students, the next six months will be the hardest out of my whole course they say. I will finish my pre-clinical operative training by June and there is alot to do before seeing my first lot of patients in second semester. What I know for sure is that this semester I really need to focus and try the best I can. Sacrifices will have to be made. Less socializing for sure but also making sure I keep a balance between study and social life like always. And I need to stop cramming in general. My timetable itself looks crazy with around 15 hours in sim lab or clinic alone and another 13 hours of lectures/pracs on top of that. This isn't a whinge or anything but rather a realization of the exceptions and the work load has raised.
I remember I was just a fresher last year and now its my turn to lead the new group of dent kids coming to CSU. Hopefully, they will feel as welcome as I did when I first came. I can't wait to go back and see friends that I haven't seen in so long. I feel like I'm heading back to my second home to see my other family. Its amazing that even though we all live so far away from each other during the holidays, we still manage to catch up as a group and hit a location somewhere in Australia to hang out.
That's about it for now. I hope everyone had an amazing summer break and that preparations for uni are running smoothly. I congratulate all of those that got into their desired course and for those that didn't, don't give up![]()
