The point of this post is simply to allow me to have a breath of fresh air, more than anything.
I've been spending so much time sitting in 'hypothetical' interviews with the mirror, researching ethics, treatment, anatomy and other meddy-stuff that I've somewhat lost touch with the present. I think I have to take 3 steps back and remember that I haven't actually been accepted into medicine, nor have I received an interview offer and I haven't exactly scored an adequate score in the UMAT either. ...

I'M ALIVE!!! (but immobile). Tripped over, toenail totally dislodged (from the root, up). Long story short; I haven't been able to walk since Wednesday last week.
So because it's raining, I've consumed everything mildly tasty in sight, I can't leave my bed and day time tv is absolute trash (except for Just Shoot Me and Ellen) I decided to update my blog.

I quite like writing... I don't think I'm any good at it but I really enjoy laying down thoughts and emotions onto paper. I love the way that language works, how sentences can be punctuated and manipulated in beautiful ways; carrying all the glory and impetus of a crescendo, or the agonies and pain of a fiery dissonance.

I really hope I don't fall into the same trap that claimed so many other med hopefuls that stuff the UMAT. A lot of people have called me stupid for deferring my med offer from Griffith and I guess I can see why but I really, really do want to study in my home state.
