Posted 22-09-10 04:27 PM Do unis take percentile, overall, section scores?
just wondering, do the universities consider the total of all three sections or the overall score or the percentiles?
because my total score divided by three is one less than my overall score
?
cheers,

Posted 29-12-11 03:23 PM It depends on the uni.
uq, uncle - require you to get 50-50-50 raw in each section
monash - look mainly at section 1 and 2 scores
unis very rarely look at percentiles they either look at raw scores (the average of the scores)(e.g. unsw) or each section individually

Posted 05-01-12 05:40 PM In Optom, they say we need mid-high range UMAT scores - is that percentile or overall?

This is incorrect. Monash take the sum of all sections. You may be thinking of UWS, which weights the sections on a 1:1:0.5 ratio.

With UQ, they also have a UMAT cut-off (percentile) and if you are on that cut-off, they then go to your section 1 score for a cut-off to decide between those "on the fence"
