Hi, ive done a few searches here and on boredaussies, havent been able to find an answer.
The UMAT Prac Question books and Prac Test avail for sale on acer site, do these change year to year? Ive heard the GAMSAT doesn't change.

Getting busier The two sets that I saw from separate years were the same. I believe those years were 2005 and 2006.
Just to add a warning, ensure this thread stays about ACER's practice questions and doesn't venture into private preparation companies for UMAT.
They change. ACER run tests from all around the world, and if they decide "hey this test in Ireland we used had this style of question" they might decide to use it in the UMAT, and if they do there is a possibility that they will put it in the practice booklet just as a flag to say: this is what we are going to do. I know in my year there was a completely different type 3 question, and someone with experience in aptitude tests would be able to look at the differences between the booklets and say: they are going to put something different in.
but they don't change much....
It's probably worth getting your hands on old ACER booklets as well as buying the current ones - the more practice questions the better.
Personally I thought the ACER booklet of practice questions was a lot easier than the actual test - it gives you an idea but don't let it lull you into complacency.

Looks like a new practice test is being released this year, the red booklet displayed.
I'd like to point out that the UMAT ALWAYS has new questions. ACER uses the different exams they use as a testing ground for the other ones. For instance, they might come up with a new question on organisational ability, and put it on the UMAT to see how it goes. Then if it's a good question it will be integrated into their other tests like the GAT. It's important to recognise that these questions will appear because they WILL shake you. But the thing about it is that these questions are not included in your mark, they are for experimental purposes only.
