Umat iPhone App/ Other Resource

G'day All..

I was wondering if any one has found some iPhone apps which contain puzzles similar to that which appear on the UMAT. I am also looking for any books with these type of problems as well that I can pick up at a book store or the news agency. They don't have to be specific to the UMAT but rather just similar questions. Cheers

I find that UMAT's section 3 puzzle is quite unique especially in "select the middle" which is the most difficult. I don't know of any puzzles but you can find plenty on 'odd one out' 'sequencing' etc.

I actually don't think doing UMAT's Section 3 puzzles on the iPhone is a good idea since difficult ones (which are you ones that require practice) should be annotated on and drawn about which is best done on paper/books. The iPhone isn't going to help much I believe.

For Section 1's problem solving and logic reasoning, the US LSAT (Law school admission test) has problems that I find are very similar. http://www.amazon.com/LSAT-Logic-Gam.../dp/0470525142

You might be able to find some LSAT stuff on iPhones. I don't know any other books that might help in Section 3 and 2.

Yeah Mensa has some good puzzle books which have similar questions to those on S1 and S3. I found a bunch of them at an Officeworks. It could be worth investigation. Here's the ISBN number of the one I got just to give you a better idea: 9781847325358
