Analyse/ dissect statements, groups of related statements, arguments, conclusions etc in every-day situations. This will hopefully get you used to thinking in an analytical and logical way. Once you are used to it, you will naturally speed up.

Posted 19-04-08 10:45 PM The green and blue books are both half an exam each, whilst the red book is a complete exam, so in fact you have two full exams which can be sat under exam conditions, if you wish. The books all have different questions in them. No two are the same. It must be said though that the questions in the books are easier than the actual test questions, but in saying that the questions are the type of questions in the exam and herein lies the purpose of all books.
Make sure you know how to approach these questions and what they actually want from you. I don't really think speed reading helps much with these, as they are only short questions, especially in regard to section one. They are a mix of both logical and analytical reasoning and to know how to attempt them in that respect is a good start. I think special attention should be paid to test taking strategies especially in regard to this type of exam, which questions to attempt first, doing MCQ's and time management etc. I hope this helps everybody in some way.
Good luck

Posted 20-04-08 09:53 AM The important thing about Section 1 is to not take anything implied as fact, only answer for things that ARE stated in the text (or a direct derivation of that).
