    okay this is probably more of a girl-type of book, but any book by jodi picoult is AWESOME. theyre all about understanding two sides of a case, the people's emotions behind it, etc.
    REALLY good books. and unfortuantely really long reserve lists.

    Unfortunately you cannot improve your ability to 'understand people' overnight by reading a book or watching a movie

    yea, but reading enough of them over time gets you used to doing that kind of thing... hopefully.

    i was talking to a UWS med student and they said that reading autobios helps. i started reading never day die.... good book

    I think that only works if u continually question what the author is thinking :S. And how will you know if what you are thinking is right or wrong :S. But i think that reading lots to increase ur speed and concentration is good...
