I just tried my first practice paper and I'm not sure if my marks are good or not.
S1: 33/44
S2: 31/36
S3: 28/30
Is there like a chart where I can compare raw marks to scaled marks?

There isn't, unfortunately, and practice papers are not directly comparable to the real UMAT in terms of difficulty (usually the practice ones are easier by far; which means you should pretty much be getting 100% on those if you can.)
If those marks are for the acer practice paper, then they're looking pretty good. I found the actual umat to be a lot harder than the acer practice umats though. Also, there are many people who get really high percentiles in the practice papers from major prep companies, but still go really badly on the umat.
Sorry, I have to disagree with this, especially in section 1. I would use that result to show you where your weaknesses are and where you need to improve.
Near the time of the UMAT, if you have a practice acer paper, you should be getting pretty much every question right.

I second everything that has been said so far; unfortunately performance on the practice papers is not comparable to the exam itself. For example, the first time I sat the UMAT (in 2009) I was getting 100% on the practice papers but only scored in the 71st percentile for the actual exam.
Good luck with your UMAT study![]()
I found the following: S1 representative - doing well in S1 practice correlated with doing well in S1 real; S2, not at all. The subjectivity of S2 meant that it almost entirely depended on my vocabulary - study vocab! Seriously, STUDY IT.
S3 was similarly representative to S1 - in terms of question difficulty - but it really threw me off because it wasn't separated into Patterns, pick the Middle and then Box, It was like, 5 of patterns then 5 of middle then 5 of box, 5 pattern, 5 middle, 5 box and alternating inbetween. Which as I said, destroyed my concentration; there's a mindset for each different type which you'll get into if you do enough practice which if you break means you have to get back into.. this takes time to recover.
You should be acing the practice ones, they are a lot easier than the actual UMAT. Don't let that scare you though, go in confident and do your best. Good luck.
