No i don't, i tried to get some for elite performers however you have to complete your AmusA or LmusA in year 11 or 12. I did mine earlier so i was not eligible. I was very surprised when i got it so in that sense i feel grateful for receiving a place with such a low umat etc

Posted 26-01-12 12:38 PM Congratulations! I think it's great you got an offer.
Certainly the ATAR/UMAT requirement for UNSW appears much lower this year (I am basing this observation on other's contributions as to whether they got an offer or not last year). Perhaps the demand for optometry is dropping to a more realistic level (5 years study, salaries OK but not startling). Perhaps the impact of "specsaver" type businesses on the profession or Deakin U's new 3 and 1/2 year course. Interestingly, QUT and Flinders cut offs seem higher (I did't get offers at either - QUT I had a total of 97 - 2 BPs for LOTE - no BPs or at Flinders U, but did get a UNSW offer on a total of 98 - 3 BPs for DOE). Maybe UNSW increased quota numbers this year????
I know we don't care - we are just glad we got offers - but it's all very interesting! I will be so curious to see what next years scores are.
