You guys should have done your Immunity form back at home. I got mine done at home from the GP. It was free.

Wow that's a lot better than the distribution for the first epi test last year:

Average 70%, 1 person got 15/15, approximately 45-50 people got A+

Yeah, i was shocked at how many people got A+ [ and a little annoyed haha]

She did warn us that 'as a general rule the second terms test is harder than the first'

Wow 250 is so much, I wonder if their going to keep the same format for the next terms test; I assume they are since the final has apparently been published as well (according to tut)

So...

In situations like the above- 250 people getting an A+ in a test, or say, a large number of people generally doing well overall- would UMAT be the next major factor to consider?

I mean I know it has a lot of weighing anyway (30% or something) but I always hear stuff about UMAT only really counting if your HSFY marks aren't looking up?

My question is; how are all the A/A+'ers distinguished (?)? Or are there different levels of A/A+?

Blah, if anyone understood that kudos to you :]

This test was easy and they don't usually scale MCQ tests. If a situation arises where there are 250 people with A+'s or not enough people passing, i think they scale the paper so that it is fairly distributed?

I don't think there'll be a situation where 250 people get all A+'s. But if that happens I think UMAT comes into play, it is worth 34 percent so it would help spread the competition.

Otago University looks at percentages gained rather than grades as opposed to Auckland University, so as long as you aim for the highest it doesn't matter how many people get the same 'grade' as you, as long as you have a higher percentage then them.

90 percent vs 98 percent is a huge difference, but they are both A+'s.

Oh. I was under the impression A+= 98% or higher 0.o Ha ha.

That makes sense. So so the term tests before the final count for anything?

yup, each terms test is graded as a portion of your final mark.

Our Epidemiology terms test was worth 15 percent of our final mark.
