Those who want to stay in Tassie will get a spot this year, just like every other year.
It is premature- Tassie barely fills all its intern spots by the time 3rd/4th/etc round offers come out so to increase intern places because not everyone got a 1st round offer would be missing the point entirely.

Default Do private clinics in Melbourne recruit interns - 06-08-10, 10:12 AM

I am an Indian Medical Graduate and my husband is an Australian Citizen. My visa is being processed. I thought being a provisional permanent resident of Australia would make things easier fr me but it seems to be the opposite. Anyways if you have friends who run private clinics, are the allowed to recruit you there?????

For internship, you mean? If so, the answer is no. Internship cannot be completed in private clinics.

I'm an international student who's doing year 12 on-shore and considering doing MBBS at Monash University. Do you think I should risk it? (Will this problem be solved in the next 5 years?)

I suspect the problem may be worse in 5 years. Caveat emptor.
